Where to 'Pop the Question' in Orange County
Whether you are looking for an over-the-top or traditional proposal, when it comes to getting engaged, Orange County has plenty of options to make your sweetie swoon. Here are three of our favorite spots:
Orange Hill Restaurant
For an elegant and romantic setting, Orange Hill Restaurant is a local favorite. Located atop the hills of Orange, Orange Hill Restaurant has a picturesque view of Orange County, delicious menu options and a wine list with more than 200 wines. On a clear day you can see all the way to Catalina Island, and at night the city lights are breathtaking. Take in the view from the outdoor patio, enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pits and wait for the perfect moment to pop the question.

Or, as you end the evening after a wonderful meal, take a knee on the rustic bridge in front of cascading waterfalls and a beautiful koi pond at the restaurant’s entrance/exit. Orange Hill Restaurant also has an impressive English fireplace, perfect for a beautiful and memorable proposal. To really get a feel for the ambiance, check out this restaurant review.
Sunset Dinner Cruise
When looking for a unique and romantic proposal idea, a cruise along Newport Harbor is a great option. Step aboard Hornblower Cruises’ Sunset Dinner Cruise and let the romantic moments begin.
Start the evening with a perfectly crafted four-course dinner, then make your way to the outdoor deck for live music and dancing under the beautiful Orange County sky.
Sip champagne on the deck, watch the sun set over the Pacific and pick your perfect moment. If you want something a little more intimate, you can plan your own cruise with a private charter.

For a truly magical experience, what place could be better than the “Happiest Place on Earth”? If you want to spend the day as a newly-engaged couple, start it off with a proposal at the entrance, in front of the Disneyland Railroad and "Floral Mickey"—it’s the perfect photo op, too!
The most popular spot to pop the question is undoubtedly front and center at the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. There is always a Disney’s PhotoPass Cast Member standing by the castle, so be sure to give them the head’s up to ensure you have a picture-perfect memento of your special moment.

Located just east of Sleeping Beauty castle is another great spot – Snow White’s Wishing Well. One of the most romantic places in Disneyland, the wishing well is a replica of the one Snow White first met her prince at, in the Disney animated feature, “Snow White.”
Tip: Don’t forget to stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. to pick up your free “Just Engaged” Disney pins to commemorate the occasion!
