Elaine Cali, Vice President of Communications

I have the perfect last name, ‘Cali,’ for talking about and living in this Golden state.

I’m always amused when hotel valets are overly impressed with my last name, and they exclaim “CALI” really that’s your name? That’s awesome!”

My California roots run deep, seven generations back to be exact, and I treasure this rare lineage as it gives me a unique perspective of honoring history yet still being very in tune with today’s California and SoCal culture. In the early days of California my Spanish ancestors would have been called “Californios,” so I guess that is what I am too.

I’ve been fortunate to have traveled the globe, however, when I click my 'ruby red slippers' together I always seem to come back home Orange County. I love uncovering Orange County’s little known treasures and trivia and sharing it with family and friends.

I am an optimist who sees the value of being silly, finding the absurd in reality and capturing those freeze frame moments that define the day.

Elaine has over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry and is the Vice President of Communications at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau.
